  • We have been on our season break, but golf hasn't stopped making headlines. Locally, we've got a lot of good news to celebrate like the winners of the recently concluded Men's Federation Interclub Tournament where the Wack Wack Golf & Country Club Team took home the trophy against the Valley Golf Club Team. Great playing from their whole team especially Tommy, Matthew, and Gab Manotoc! Let's see what happens this month when the Ladies Federation Team Tournaments begin!

  • Double congratulations go out to Jed Dy, who is coached by Mike Cedo, and Miya Legaspi, who is coached by yours truly, as they won in their respective Age Divisions in the recently concluded US KIDS World Golf Championship held last August 4-8 in Pinehurst, North Carolina, USA! They not only bring pride to the country but to the local Junior Golf programs too!

  • A whole lot of wins for the Philippines this July, lets start off with Miya Legaspi for being the Top Filipino finisher in the recently concluded Junior World Tournament in San Diego, USA, and for winning the Optimist Tournament (age 11-12) in Florida, congratulations! I know she will win in the upcoming US Kids Tournament in North Carolina for she brings much pride to our country.

  • Half of 2011 has gone by really fast and there's a lot to be thankful for, especially for those who took home the trophies this summer. Let's start off with De La Salle University, another win for them as they defended their title during the 11th Samsung Interscholastic Golf Championship held last June 10 at Canlubang Golf & Country Club! Let's not forget the College/High School Girls Division as newcomers Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu won in both divisions, and we are also proud of the Assumption Golf Team for taking 2nd place in the Girls Grade School Division.

  • The 2011 ICTSI Philippine Open was held at East Course of the Wack Wack Golf & Country Club last May 12-15. After 4-days on the fairways, Berry Henson took home the Championship while Jay Bayron was the Top Filipino finisher. Congratulations to Berry Henson & Jay Bayron! I'd also like to congratulate the other players, like Frankie Miñoza, Ferdie Auñzo, Tony Lascuña, Juvic Pagunsan, and of course my buddy Rick Gibson!
